He attended LubbockHigh School and was a member of the Westerners’ 2003 district championship club.
Austin went on to play for Texas Tech and was a member of the Red Raider’s club which finished as runners up for the national championship, and was named to the all- tournament team.
He also played for the Lubbock Lonestars of the PASL (Premiere Arena Soccer League).
