The Midland RockHounds Professional Baseball Club (2011 Texas League Organization of the Year) and West Texas Sockers are excited to announce the availability of our award-winning executive management staff to speak at your corporate or civic event. Entering its 41st year in the Permian Basin, the RockHounds Baseball Club remains West Texas’ leader in providing exciting and affordable family fun to the people and businesses of the region.
For more than half of the franchise’s existence, General Manager Monty Hoppel has guided the club, and this community, to incredible successes, including the planning and construction of the Scharbauer Sports Complex—West Texas’ premier sporting venue. In his 23 years with the RockHounds, Monty has earned national recognition for his remarkable efforts in developing such a successful franchise in one of Minor League Baseball’s smallest markets.
Under Monty’s leadership, which includes Baseball America’s 2010 Minor League Executive of the Year award and four Texas League Executive of the Year accolades for himself, the RockHounds Baseball Club has been named the Texas League’s Franchise of the Year three times, won the 1996 Bob Freitas Award as Double-A baseball’s top franchise, and received MiLB’s highest honor—the John H. Johnson trophy—in 2007, naming the RockHounds the nation’s best franchise.
A key member of Monty’s senior staff, Assistant General Manager (Marketing) Jamie Richardson has cultivated strong ties to the community during his 16 years with the organization. In that time, he has held nearly every position with the club, granting him a unique perspective on all aspects of conducting a professional sports franchise. Jamie directs the club’s corporate partnership development policies and is an essential liaison to the community.
While they are known for their work in baseball, soccer, and hockey, Monty and Jamie’s insightful concepts and powerful strategies can assist a firm, in any industry, with revenue augmentation, new business development, company-client partnership enhancement, and employee morale reinforcement.
In an atmosphere of serious fun, both Monty and Jamie share their extensive business experiences and frame them within the novelty and excitement of working in professional baseball.
