The West Texas United Sockers 2010 season is officially over, and though they did not make the playoffs a second consecutive season, many accomplishments were made. In just the Sockers second season as a franchise, they have become one of the best the PDL has to offer. After the jump, read the official end of season press release. 

   The Sockers recently were credited with a 1-0 win for their game on Saturday July 24 against the Rio Grande Bravos. The Bravos, who played an ineligible player during the game, forfeited the win, giving the Sockers an extra three points, still one outside of the playoffs. Laredo and Houston will be the two Mid-South Division representatives for the PDL playoffs. Final standings after the jump.
